What to keep ready
- ID proof: Aadhaar, voter ID, passport or driving licence
- Address proof: Aadhaar, voter ID, passport, driving licence, or a recent electricity bill or bank statement
- Date-of-birth proof: birth certificate, school leaving or Class 10 certificate, or passport. Aadhaar is not accepted as date-of-birth proof.
- A passport-size photo and your signature
With Aadhaar e-KYC you usually don’t need to upload papers. Since April 2026 the portal may ask for extra supporting documents, so check its list.
What it costs
- Instant e-PAN with Aadhaar OTP: free.
- Full application: ₹91 plus GST (about ₹107) for an Indian address, paid on the portal.
- Correction or reprint: about ₹50 with GST for an Indian address. The portal shows the exact fee before you pay.
